Yes, we do offer sliding scale / discounted rates for certain professions and those who have limited income. Professions that may qualify for discounted rates include healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel, and teachers.

As of right now, we’re only offering telehealth sessions via a HIPAA compliant platform, Doxy.me. Once a session is scheduled, you will be provided with the exact link to connect to the session.

Every individual session is typically 55-60 minutes, unless otherwise agreed upon with your provider, and couple sessions are typically 80-90 minutes. Sessions may be held on a weekly or biweekly basis, this will be determined by you and your provider. In terms of how long you may be in therapy, the very unsatisfying answer is: it depends. Therapy may be sought out for multiple reasons, ranging from stress management techniques to deeply rooted psychological distress and traumas, which will ultimately factor into how long treatment will run.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance to us. As mental health professionals, we adhere to strict ethical guidelines and legal requirements to protect your privacy and maintain confidentiality within the bounds of the therapeutic relationship.

Limits to confidentiality:

Child Abuse Reporting: Any reason to suspect that a child is being abused, neglected, or exploited. We are required by Florida law to report the matter immediately.
Adult Abuse Reporting: Any reason to suspect that an elderly or incapacitated adult is being abused, neglected, or exploited. We are required by Florida law to report the matter immediately.
Court Proceedings: If you are involved in a court preceding and a request is made for information about your diagnosis and treatment and the records thereof, such information is privileged under state law, and it will not be released unless you provide written authorization, or a judge issues a court order.
Release of Information: If you sign a release of information to another health care provider, individual, or company.

As therapists, we focus on psychotherapy and do not prescribe medication. However, we can refer you to psychiatrists and/or other medical professionals, if medication is deemed necessary as part of your treatment plan, by you and your provider.

Aetna, Cigna, Oxford, United Healthcare, Humana, and Oscar; Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) are also accepted.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It involves bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or other sensory modalities, to assist in the reprocessing of distressing memories and alleviate associated symptoms. EMDR has been found to be effective in treating various conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related issues.
